just another day in paradise...
i've come to a conclusion. i'm not any good at writing in the mornings anymore. i think my brain is just too sleepy lately and therefore doesn't let things out quite like it has been in the evenings. now, if i could just stop working so much from home at nights, maybe i'd get more writing done at night. trick being i have to shut everyone out until i'm done. not too hard physcially but emotionally i like to be there when they need me. must start making sacrifices for myself as well.
my boss isn't here yet this morning. this could mean that the traffic coming here is hell again or that his wife is still in the hospital and something is wrong or he has to get the kids out the door today. i hope she's alright. he was quite worried about her yesterday as he was attempting to dash out the door (which is virtually impossible around this place). i suppose we'll see what happened and happens today...
traffic continues to piss me off. maybe i'll go back to last year around this time and see if i was just as agitated. i mean, we SIT there in the highway not moving and then we move and then stop and move and stop. and all the while not an accident in site. NOTHING! how can we be stopping on the damned highway when there's no accidents or anything for MILES and MILES? what a pain!
if i thought it would be faster i'd try to find an alternate route to work but truthfully 24 is probably the straightest, fastest shot because it's a real highway and not a 2-lane route. ahh well, enough bitching.
my boss just called. he's coming in late. he's got to move his wife to another hospital because the only thing they know about her issue is that it has to do with her ovaries. he said she was being obstinant so he had to move her to another hospital where her OB-GYN is. heh... obstinance must run in the family ;) i wish her well and hope they are able to find out what the problem is soon and fix her up. i've not met her but she surely must be a saint to deal with Don and this job because he practically lives here! he cares a lot for his family though. he's a good guy.
ahh well, i'm done for this morning. i've been working away and totally forgot this window was open so... off i go...
