\"the unthinkable\"
i decided quite plainly this morning after reading that word in an article synposis that i hate that word. it's dumb because it's contradictory...
how exactly can something be unthinkable? as soon as the thought comes to your head it is there and therefore, thinkable in my opinion and so, if something were really unthinkable, would we know anything about it? likely not.
why do we use such a word for explaining those things in life that we just -don't- want to think about. things like suicide, in this case. is it just because we're a culture who chooses to ignore things that are not pleasant to us. (which in effect puts those who think the "unthinkables" in even more peril.)
i don't know... this is just a random rant because i just got up and that's the first thing i saw and i thought it was somewhat absurd the way we bury the truth in stupid words that are relatively meaningless.
*frowns slightly at merriam-webster* the alternative meaning to unthinkable (other than the obvious "not capable of being grasped by the mind") is given as "being contrary to what is reasonable, desirable, or probable : being out of the question". another mutated meaning to a relatively simple word. i wonder if the other languages have a word for unthinkable...

i think i dreamt too much last night. must have been some agitatitive dreams because i'm riled over a dumb word. well, not really riled... my heart rate isn't up and i'm not turning purple or anything but you get my meaning.
i'm going off to do something else now. maybe check work email (yeah on my day off, i'm lame) then shower, make Him coffee... all that good stuff.
maybe you'll hear from me again later today.. depends on what i can convince Him into doing :)
