monday monday... la laaaaa laa lalaa la
so on the terminal drive here this morning i was thinking about the fact that fall officially starts tomorrow. it always makes me think of the smells that used to fill the air around this time back in north central MA... crunchy leaves, cold crisp air, pine trees (we had a LOT of pine trees in Orange). the smells in the apple orchard when we'd go picking... apples, pumpkin pies baking, pickles, pies, and all other goodies that they had.
*smiles* ahh... leave it to fall to make me nostalgic.
then there's the flip side when you think about the fact that it's already fall and wonder where the hell the rest of the year went. i don't really remember summer this year, partially because it was so damned short after "rainy season" and partially because, unlike last year, He was working this year so there were no random trips to the beach or the vineyards, no "cruising" trips. we were too busy with other things. sad that life ties us up so much sometimes that we forget to do the simple things that make life fun sometimes. in good time... besides, He keeps promising to be independantly wealthy by the times He's 35(?) or so ;) a girl can hope...
i don't know that i'm feeling particular chatty again today. i was still anti-people yesterday but endured a stay online so that i could make sure some people were okay and then some others messaged me too so i spent some time dealing with newbies.
yesterday all in all was relatively boring. the game was fun to watch, though miserable all at the same time. sometimes even when the outcome makes it look like it was a good game the reality is that they are so lucky sometimes. it does indeed take skills though just to step out on that field so kudos to them... now i'd like to see them pull it all together because if they could, perhaps they'd be unstoppable. short of the long... we beat the Jets. that makes for good football ;)
school tonight. hope i can stay awake for it. though this is much more interesting than the systems class so i think i'll be alright, plus, half the time we end up playing on the computers looking for different websites and such. it's a cool class...
