a full saturday
having accomplished at least three missions today i decided to take a break and write for a little bit. don't know that i have a particular amount to say but hey... seems like when that's the case things just sort of roll out of my head and through my fingers to here. so.. anyway...

i have to say that my day has been pretty productive. i went to the gym, had my tires looked at, came home showered and made lunch like my life was going to end and then shot out the door to meet up with Kirsten and Chris to head to the bird store. that was fun. their condure, Leland, is adorable... but he bites so i don't even try to hold him or anything. he's funny though, full of personality.

there wasn't a whole lot interesting to me as far as purchasing at the bird store. Kirsten said she was surprised that they didn't have any suns because they usually do. oh well, probably for the better. there was the most adorable sendjay condure though who was playing "roll over" in the cutest, most adorable, "take me home i'm talented!" sort of way. heh heh. then there was the absolutely hugest bird i have ever seen in my entire life, the hyacinth macaw.

i am not kidding you when i tell you that even without it's tail feathers the damn thing came up to my KNEE! YES! MY KNEE! granted i'm not a giant but DAMN! birds just aren't supposed to be THAT tall! -with- his tail feathers she was like half the length of my 62" tall frame!

and the colors were absolutely gorgeous. i'll link to a picture but the blue feathers and the yellow rimmed beak and eyes were just about the most beautiful coloring i've ever seen. i, however, would never want a bird quite THAT big. she was gorgeous and i loved seeing her but any bird that eats brazil nuts like they're sunflower seeds is just a little too strong for me. not to mention that while showing off for us she scaled a barred door, up and down many times without the assistance of the well spaced cross bars!

after Leland was done being clipped (it was time for him to get his wings and toenails clipped) we took off back to Kirsten and Chris' and i decided to take off because they hadn't eaten yet and i had and i didn't want them to feel like i was being rude or anything by not eating and i didn't really feel like having another meal so... off i drove to come home. stopped off at family dollar and CVS to pick up various cleaning supplies and more nail polish... yeah, like i need more nail polish... and then came home and wahoo, cleaned the master potty! it looks a million times better and now smells like a combination of bleach and citrus.

so, yeah... busy day. i was going to get redressed and head out to go shopping but He's about due to get out of work (in fact He should have gotten out by now so i'm hoping He's not grouchy because they kept Him late) so i figured i'd wait and see what He wanted to do tonight. if He decides to do His school work then maybe i'll take off for a little while and let Him study. i guess i'm a distraction sometimes :)

oh, and this made me laugh. i had turned the TV on while i was cleaning the bathroom and the Ed Sullivan show came on. now, i obviously never watched this growing up but it was amusing. then i'll be damned if the damned song that myself, mom and sammer used to sing all the time came on there! OH MY GOD! i was giggling... of course i always giggle when i hear the part "... so we grabbed an alligator and fought another round. we filled his mouth with cannon balls and powdered his behind and when we touched the powder off the gator lost his mind" *snickers to herself in memory*

Sammer loves that part. *giggles* the song is "The Battle of New Orleans" by Jimmy Driftwood. I should find it on tape or CD and make a copy for Sammer, gods she'd die laughing.

alright... so i'm weird... by now, you should all know that!

but anyway... painted my nails today too... sally hansen "nail prisms" and the color is called lavender pearl. looks sort of pink but it's way understated and looks nice. it's sheer so it's hardly noticeable. going to think about doing my toes too.

alright, enough babble... like ya'll care anyway what i'm doing minute by minute! hehe

write at you all later!
