Changing Lives
it's funny how, because we spend so much time with ourselves, that we often don't realize the extent to which we have changed.
it takes strange occurances for us to realize that somewhere along the way, something within us has dramatically changed and for some reason, we never really noticed.
i don't think this is a bad thing, i think it just happens. it's called "growth".
the people in our lives change us. the activities and time restrictions in our lives, change us. the thoughts and ideas and ideals in our heads, that we discuss over and over again with ourselves and our friends and partners, change us, and make us grow in new and different ways but we never see it coming...
and then surprises happen. some new experiences with different reactions than you would have expected, new experiences that are mind blowing, and even more mind blowing that you're actually doing them... and the aftermath of realizing what was done and assessing the feelings about it and finding that there's no residual feelings there that you normally would have expected of yourself.
and thus, how our lives have changed. changed us. changed those around us.
like a ripple on the water, created by the tiniest pebble...
we change.
life is a great experience.
i'm glad i'm learning to live it.
i'm even more glad for the people i get to share it with.
